I got engaged on February 26th, and we decided to go for a short engagement because, to be honest, we just didn’t want to wait any longer. The ride’s been wonderfully smooth. My fiance, Josh, has been so sweet and supportive in these five months of planning. The Lord is so good to me for bringing me such an incredible man - one who loves Christ more than me and who pulls me closer to the Lord by his godly example.

I just started reading Roger Ellsworth’s “Come Down, Lord!” It’s a super tiny book packed with a whole lot of zeal for the Lord. It’s about waiting on God for revival, coming to Him wholeheartedly and with focus. God is so willing to answer our prayers for revival, if we mean them.

This morning, I just read chapter three, “We Wait for You,” which was written for busy schoolworkaholic people like me. Instead of rushing ahead and trying to make revival happen in my life on my own, I need to pause and remember that only when I relinquish my death-grip hold on life will God act. That way, it’s in His timing, not mine.

We are to EXPECT that God will revive, FOCUS on Him, and WAIT for Him to revive us in His perfect timing.

I have a few more chapters in this teeny tiny little book that I could easily read through in an hour. I want to take my time, not blast through it just because I can read fast. I want to let the Lord minister to me through Ellsworth’s wisdom.
